About The Site Safety Management Plan (SSMP)


This comprehensive 50-page document is ready to customise to your specific project. The plan has been designed for use by Principal Contractors, Sub-contractors and self employed persons operating within the Australian building and construction industry.

  • OHS regulations require that the plan needs to be specific to your organisation and specific to your project and not generic.
  • The site safety plan must describe the way your organisation manages the OHS in your workplace under the OHS regulations framework.
  • We don’t want you to get embarrassed when a WorkCover officer arrives on your site and starts questioning the plan and you cannot explain because the plan is generic and has been done for someone else without you having any input in it.
